fuel station services and upgrading the skills of drivers and technicians through its Training Centre. The company has created job opportunities for over 1100 employees and annually allocates 8 million birr for the provision of sporting facilities and events, particularly bicycle racing and football. Trans Ethiopia has made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the nation by generating foreign currency through providing reliable transportation service for overseas companies.

The main business lines of Tans Ethiopia PLC include transit services such as freight forwarding, customs clearance, port handling, shipping and warehousing from Djibouti and Port Sudan. The company also imports a range of tyres and batteries suitable for agricultural and construction machinery as well as passenger vehicles and has created partnerships with reliable dealers and opened retail outlets in Addis Ababa and other main towns. Through its emphasis on training for drivers and technicians at its well organised Training Centre, Trans Ethiopia has upgraded the skill and capacity of technicians and drivers with 4th – 5th grade driving licenses and has a well-equipped garage lead by skilled technicians providing quality maintenance services.
